5:30 – 8 pm

Join us on the MCA terrace for a free performance by the Corey Wilkes Trio as they tear through a versatile program of songs inspired from nearly a century of different jazz styles. From down-home blues, to hard-edged bebop, to sweet-noted balladry, to get-up-and-make-you-dance funk, this group plays it all with startling technical ability and soul. The event is hosted by Marsha Noble, the “Jazz Pacemaker”, of WSSD 88.1 FM. The Tuesdays on the Terrace series is hosted by local jazz personalities and features some of Chicago’s hottest and up-and-coming jazz musicians. Guests are invited to relax on the sculpture garden lawn and listen to the music while enjoying Wolfgang Puck’s special “lawn boxes,” with delicious assortments of cheeses, crackers and fresh fruit. New this year, the chef creates unique entrees each week using select fresh ingredients from the Farmer’s Market.
