George Freeman:
George Freeman was born in Chicago, and the guitar became his method of communication as he moved into the heart of the 20th century. The music of George Freeman defies any known mold of musical expression. It is not restricted to swing, blues, bop, rock or modern because Freeman has been a living part of all of these eras. As a spirited side man and composer George has performed with Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Johnny Griffin, Fats Navarro, Richard "Groove" Holmes, Gene Ammons, Sonny Stitt, Dexter Gordon, his brothers Von and Bruz, Shirley Scott, Jimmy McGriff, Ben Webster, Buddy Rich, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Dakota Staton, Ruth Brown, Dinah Washington, Billie Holliday and Jackie Wilson....
